INTRODUCTION + HYPE: PV IDEMUDIA WITH NEW SINGLE “NA YOU"

PV IDEMUDIA is a gifted singer, song writer and music producer. Music came very early as he was made the leader of the Children Choir in his church at age 7. He led the Choir to a major church program where their ministration kept everyone on their feet with amazement expressed on the faces of the audience. When asked what music is to him, he said enthusiastically “music is my life”. Although he is new to lots of people, he has been doing music for a long time. He is popularly recognized as the first artist to do the hip hop version of the popular song “Agidigba”. The success of the song showed him a glimpse of stardom. Without media promotions, the song was able to scale across the nation through the strategy he refers to as “Bluetooth Promo”.

Today, P.V is leading the music industry in a new direction – proudly putting gospel music in its rightful place. According to him, “we entertain everyone with good gospel music and in the midst of the entertainment, a righteous seed is sown. We through music remind people that their success is not by their power and strategically place God on their hearts.” He further explained that “the power of music has been misused and it’s time to use it aright. A lot of gospel artist do music for the church, but i sing for the street because the difference between my songs and circular songs is the message passed; same energy, same groove, same lyrical fun, same quality, greater/better effect”.

Here is this young talented artist's brand new single titled “NA YOU”. According to P.V, “The song is a song of appreciation to God, acknowledging that all that is, is because of Him”. The song is further interpreted by Dir. Akin Alabi in the video. The video is out and as the audio is doing very well and gaining wide acceptance with thousands of download recorded on the internet, the video is also scaling the chats on both local and international channels.

NEWS + ARTICLE: YOUR LAGACY LIVES ON DAD, WORDS FROM A BELOVED DAUGHTER

Today is dad's birthday... he would have been 63yrs old. Wewould have gotten together and mom would have baked one of her special homemadecake, she would have made some homemade juice and wine too...Yesterday shewould have made some special bread for this morning's breakfast and she wouldhave made some jam and ham too.

We would have come together for a huge breakfast, with mom's delicious bread, jam, ham, eggs, some coffee for dad, tea for us, homemade juice and somefruits. Then after cleaning up we would have invaded the kitchen to help mommake a special meal that we would definitely be late taking, while dad would besitting in the living room in his shorts and t-shirt, with a glass of mom'swine on the side, watching TV and enjoying all sorts of sweet smells comingfrom the kitchen where he'd know his women would be getting busy just for him.I know he would feel a sense of pride, with 7 women getting busy and steppingon each other in one kitchen just to get things done for the first man in theirlives.

After that the youngest would have gone to set the table and would have madesure to use our special set of plates and glasses. Then we would have broughtthe food and set it on the table and dad would have a smile on his face when hewould see it. We would then sit around the table and give thanks to the Lordand then dig in while talking about just about anything. It would have been anoisy happy meal and some of us would eat more than we should but on such aday, no one would be watching.

We would then have taken all the remains back to the kitchen and cleaned thetable to make room for mom’s master piece of the day… the cake! We would haveleft dad all alone at the table as we go get the cake in the kitchen. We wouldhave all come out singing JOYEUX ANNIVERSAIRE PAPA! (HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!) asmom or the youngest would carry the cake and set it before him. I’m sure wewouldn’t have put all 63 candles on but just a few as a symbol and he wouldblow them, wishing for many more years surrounded by these women. He would cuthis cake and savor the first piece, and then share with his wife, after whichshe would take over and cut the cake into pieces and put one on each plate. Andfor the next half hour, we would think of nothing else but the cake before us.

After the cake, would come the presents. Each one would have brought theirgifts, chosen with special care, now that we are all grown and have moreexperience, and we would have watched him as he opened each gift carefully butwith excitement. And as he would receive each gift we would each receive a bigkiss as he would thank us for making his day so special.

Then would come the part we never enjoyed, when one has to face the kitchen andrealize the mess we actually made. It would take us at least an hour to cleanit up and put everything back into its place but at the end of the day we wouldjust have been happy to have done something for dad. We would be done cleaningby evening and nobody would want to talk of cooking supper and we wouldn’t bethat hungry anyway, so we would end up just making tea and have it in theliving room. It would be a quiet night, just enjoying each other’s company andlistening to some oldies, our dad’s favorite music. On the list would have beenartist like ABBA, LUAMBO, MBILIA BEL, SALVADORE ADAMO, etc… and at that time, nothing else would have mattered but that moment where we would be sitting as afamily and know there was no place we would rather be…

That’s how it happened back then when dad was alive and I’m sure that’s how itwould have been today, with a few added members of course (a son-in-law and twogrand-daughters.). I will always cherish those times. They taught me the valuesof family and how important it is to have such special times with loved onesbecause tomorrow they might not be there.

Don’t take the fact that people are there for granted and let it prevent youfrom making them feel special today and letting them know how much they mean toyou. I wish dad was still around but at least I know he knew how loved he wasby his wife and his daughters because we didn’t just wait for his birthday toshow him love, but we took every chance we got.

Dad, HAPPY 63rd BIRTHDAY! Even though you are not here wecelebrate your life and everything you did for us. Losing you still hurts, butwe are grateful that we can remember you with such sweet memories and that wecan be proud to have had you as our daddy and leader of our family. We couldn’thave asked for any better. You shall always be greatly missed and loved by yourlittle women. We’ll never forget you and we hope that as you look down on usyou are proud of how we have all turned out. Your legacy lives on… as you restin eternal peace.
Love,
Your beautiful wife, Sylvie and your precious daughters Nicole, Nadine, Toni,Ange, Bwiza and Merveille.

TRUE + STORY + ARTICLE: A MUST READ OF "A BRAVE & TRUE HEROISM OF A FATHER WHO DIED TO SAVE HIS FAMILY FROM BEING CAPTURED, RAPED & THEN KILLED"

BANG! BANG!!BANG!!!... “Honey, they have come for us this time… Take the kids and go out through the back window and onto the roof and see if you can sneak into the neighbors’ house. I will try to distract them and hold them off as long as I can. They are usually after money but there’s no telling what they would do to you and the girls if they found you here, and one can never know what their real agenda is. Be quick, everything will be alright. I will see you guys later.”
And those were basically the last word I heard my dad say. Little did I know that it was the last time I would see him alive… Actually, just the last time I would see him.

"THE ARTICLE YOU ARE ABOUT TO READ NOW IS A TRUE STORY ACCOUNT OF A MAN, A HUSBAND, A FATHER, A BROTHER, AN UNCLE, AN INLAW ETC. WHO FROM HIS BRAVE & HEROIC ACT SAVED NOT JUST HIS FAMILY ( A 5MONTH PREGNANT WIFE & 6 DAUGHTERS) & ALSO HIS WIFE'S YOUNGER SISTER, 8 LIVES IN TOTAL".......

Some memories never fade, no matter how long it’s been. I remember that day like it was yesterday and yet today it’s exactly 13 years since it all happened. October 28, 1996 started as what we called a normal day, with shot guns and bombings from left, right and center. They would start at night and last till early morning. Latest 7am, all gun shots would cease and we would be on our way to school. In those days, classes depended on how long the gun shots and bombings would last. If they lasted too long, the day would be declared a holiday. We would wake up in the morning and get ready, then sit and wait, never sure if it would be a school day or not. Same went for workers. At first, being kids and all it used to be fun but it got to a point when even we would get irritated and really miss school.

Now, October 28th that year, happened to fall on a Monday and we were really looking forward to getting out of the house and go to school. We got ready and waited. But that day was very different and the gun shots and bombings went on and on until around 10am and yet another holiday was declared. So we spent the whole day at home as a family. At the time my dad had stopped going to his workplace and was working from home, after a few encounters with rebels on the road. It wasn’t safe anymore for any Rwandese or anyone who looked like them to walk in the streets of Congo. The country was turning upside down and anything could happen to you outside… But we never thought that the danger would be brought to our doorsteps. The rest of that day was quiet and we did not expect any more trouble. My mom was 5 months pregnant and was sitting in the living room having some tea. My dad kept himself busy ironing our clothes while chatting with my aunt, and we kids (five of us, all girls) were all over the house feeling like we were in a prison.

And then we heard it… At first it was like someone was trying to force the door downstairs. We all stopped what we were doing, we couldn’t even breathe. We listened… Then they started banging on the door and we knew we hadn’t dreamed and the moment we had feared was finally here… We felt chills. We knew that if these were the wrong guys no one would be left alive and I can’t tell you the horrible ways they used to kill people. My mom panicked and suggested we all got on the roof and found a way to get into the neighbors’ house. It seemed like the only option and my dad had to think fast. Then he thought better of it. He said if those were just Congolese soldiers, all they would want would be money and anything valuable but the rest of us being ladies, it wouldn’t be safe to stay on. And if they were the rebels and had come to take us away, they would catch up with us in no time if we all run away. So he decided that he would stay and try to hold them off for as long as he could but that we had to escape. Mom pleaded with him to come with us but he said he couldn’t risk it and he needed to know that his family was safe. So we all went onto the roof and got to our first neighbors’ window and knocked… they came out and looked and refused to open for us. There we were, standing on the roof, a pregnant woman, my aunt, three girls and two toddlers, 4 and 2 ½ years old and this person didn’t feel sorry and left us hanging there. We were so afraid that someone might see us and alert the rebels. We rushed to our second neighbors’ window and we had to cut through a thick net covering it to be able to sneak in. They took us in and we sat in their living room.

In the meantime my dad had gone downstairs and was dealing with the soldiers. Our neighbors were looking from their window and telling us everything that was going on then at some point they said they had taken him away… after that they felt that sitting in the living room wasn’t safe and they hid us all in the bathroom where we sat on the floor and listened for all the noises coming from outside. Then we heard that they had brought our dad back and were asking for money. My mom had some money on her and gave it all to the neighbors, about $150.00. We started hearing a lot of noises like people were fighting or something, then we heard a very loud gunshots and our neighbours’ started screaming “They are killing him!”… And we started crying. My mom almost got out of the bathroom so hysterical. Everything calmed down for a while and our neighbors’ came to assure us that there had been some fighting but everything was ok now. We sat in that bathroom for four hours, with no other news from my dad.
Around 8pm, they came to say they were taking us down to the church that was just behind our building where we would be safer… but all we wanted to know was where and how was our dad. They kept giving us vague answers, no one was really telling us what was going. So they took us down to the church in the middle of the night and into a dark office where we sat and waited. Finally a cousin of ours came in and told us everything that had happened.

The noises we had heard, that’s the time they had killed him. They asked him where his wife and kids were because we were the ones they had really come for. They said they would leave him alone if he told them where we had gone but my father would tell them anything. Now I have heard all the horrifying details on what was done to him but I couldn’t write them down. All I can say is that no guns were used and they killed him right in front of our house and left him there. Later some of his student came from the University that was close by and carried his body into the church… the same church where we were later taken to hide but we never knew that he was there. Later that night, they took us to an upper room next to the garage and locked us in there. They covered the door with tables and stones in such a way that no one would have guessed that there was a door behind. We spent days in there and as a service was conducted the following day for my father’s funeral, we couldn’t attend because they were still looking for us and we had to remain in hiding. By the time they took off for burial in the afternoon, the gunshots and bombings started again and people run in every direction and the red cross was left with the body… What happened next is another long story. How long we spent in hiding, how we survived when people supposed to bring us food and stuff had all run away, how we finally managed to come out of that room, where we went from there… It would take a book to tell it all.

To this day, I have no idea where my father was buried, or if at all he was buried. The last memory I have of him is of a father trying to protect his family to the end. He gave his life for us and that’s the most precious memory a child can have of her father, knowing that even through the chaos we were safe. We can never get over his death because we feel that, he was cheated out of his family, his life but I only have sweet memories of him. The way he loved my mom, taught me that true love really did exist. The way he helped around the house and showed how to clean plates and rice, taught me what a real man is. The way he would help us with our school work taught me what good parents are supposed to do…

If I had to describe what a hero is, I would talk about my dad. Not just because of what he did on that day, but for all the things he did throughout his life, fighting and standing for what was right and fearing God in all of it.

Dad, if I could say something to you just one more time I would say thank you for the person that you were that made me the person I am today, thank you for being a father that was always there, even girls’ issues, thank you for giving me this life and most of all I would say I LOVE YOU AND ALWAYS WILL. You remain the first man in my life, you are and will always be My Dad, the HERO.

INFORMATION + A MUST READ: HOW TO GET MORE SALES ON ITUNES

How To Get More Sales On iTunes!
You have worked hard on writing and recording your album. Now it's time to put it on iTunes. But what do you do next to make sure that you see some sales? If you want your album to sell, you will have to promote it. Below is a list of 12 easy things you should do to get more sales on iTunes. Follow these suggestions and you will be selling more of your music and growing your fan base in no time!

1. Send Your Album Out For Review:

Send your album out to local newspapers, magazines, and blogs along with a friendly letter asking if they would consider reviewing your album. Getting reviews is extremely important. It allows your music and message to be exposed to new audiences. Hopefully, someone will read the article, like what the author is saying, and go to iTunes to check out and purchase your music.

2. Print Up Download Cards With A Sample Of Your Music:

Download cards are an affordable, easy way to get some promo for your new album. I would suggest making up a card and putting 1 or 2 songs from your album on it. On the card make sure you include your contact info, track name, any band artwork, and of course a message stating that the full album is available on iTunes.

I have found that since these cards are cheap, as little as 1000 cards for $99 through Distrophonix, you can hand them out for free to potential fans and not feel guilty or go broke.

The goal with the download cards is to hand these cards out to as many people as possible. A great place to hand them out is at local malls, music festivals, and outside venues as shows are letting out.

3. Create A Banner With A Buy Link:

Make it easy for fans to buy your music. One of the best ways to do this is to make a simple banner that can be posted on your site and social networks. This banner would link directly to your music on iTunes.

4. Sign up for LastFM:

This is a great place to get exposure for your music. LastFM has the power to introduce your music to millions of potential fans. When you do your distribution through Distrophonix they do this for you automatically.

5. Get On Your Social Networks:

Not to overstate the obvious, but getting the word out through social media is an absolute necessity if you hope to have strong sales on iTunes. Use Facebook, ReverbNation, Twitter, MySpace etc. to let people know that your music is available on iTunes.

6. Start A Mailing List:

Your fans want to stay in touch with you. One of the best ways to do this is to start a newsletter giving updates about the band and informing them of new shows. In this newsletter also include a link to your music in iTunes so that your fans can easily find your material.

7. Offer To Give Something Away For Free For A Good Album Review:

Getting positive album reviews on iTunes is the key to success. The more album reviews you have, the more exposure you will get in the stores. A good way to get positive album reviews is to offer your fans free tickets to a show, or some free merch for any review they do.

8. Tell People You Are On iTunes While On Stage:

While you are on stage, and have everyone's attention, make sure that you tell the audience that your music is available on iTunes. This is really a no brainer, but you would be surprised by how many artists forget to do this.

9. Get Help From Your Existing Fans: Ask your fans to help promote you. It is amazing the impact even one fan can have if they get on Twitter or Facebook and start talking about their favorite band or artist. Make sure to reward anyone who helps you in this way, and of course let them know how much it is appreciated.
10. Consider Putting Your Music In The Rock Band Video Game:

Consider using the power of video games to market and promote your music. By getting one of your songs in the Rock Band video game, you have the chance to expose your music to an entirely new audience. If they like the song, you can bet they will buy it on iTunes. Distrophonix can also assist you with getting your music on Rock Band.

11. Do A Facebook Advertising Campaign:

Facebook can be very powerful because it allows you to specifically target those that may be interested in your music. For a few cents a click, you can drive a lot of potential fans to your iTunes storefront. To learn more about this check out the advertising section on Facebook.

12. Consider Taking Part In A Shared Magazine Ad In A Major Publication:

Advertising in magazines specific to your genre can be very effective, but expensive. To keep it affordable, consider buying an ad space and splitting up the costs with a few other artists that you are friends with. That way everyone gets exposure, but at an affordable price.
